
Lowell started acting in the movie Dangerously Close followed by a small part in the Robin Williams film Club Paradise. Her roles included co-starring with Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) as well as Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. She also appeared on Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she played the identical role of Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. Also, in 2022 on the original series. In the immediate time before landing the role, she had become frustrated with her acting career , and had applied to study documentary filmmaking at New York University.
