Summer Glau
The first time she appeared on television was as a guest ballerina in a 2002 episode of the TV show Angel. Director Joss Whedon was impressed and chose her to play River Tam on his short-lived TV series Firefly. She also starred in the role of the sequel Serenity. Glau was previously auditioned for the Power Ranger role (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssa Erile) in Power Rangers Wild Force. She was ultimately defeated by Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon. Glau had a small part in the movie Sleepover that she played the high school senior Shelly. She was also in the "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. " as well as season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girlfriend of Jeremy Erhart). Glau was the paranoid schizophrenia returnee Tess Doerner in season 2 of The 4400. She became a regular character in season 3 and beyond. Glau also appeared in the horror-comedy film Mammoth. Glau was part of the ABC Family TV movie The Initiation of Sarah.In Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles the series that premiered on the 13th of January 2008, Glau was the character Cameron Phillips, a Terminator infiltration unit sent back to protect John Connor and Sarah Connor from Skynet. The seventh episode of the show, "The Demon Hand" was a scene in which Glau playing the character of Cameron, dances in ballet. In the second season's episode "Allison From Palmdale" (season 2), Glau played Allison Young who was Cameron's human doppelganger. Glau has also guest-starred as herself in an episode in 2009 of the CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory
